A one-day IFPA-certified pinball tournament featuring nine Stern machines, with Swiss-style qualifying and double-elimination finals.
The Original Pinballz Arcade is hosting the STERN-ament on Monday, July 27, a one-day pinball tournament played entirely across their collection of Stern machines. The whole thing is built around nine Stern titles in rotation, and it's open to players of all skill levels, so you don't need to be a seasoned pro to get in on it.
The format is a two-stage affair. It kicks off with five rounds of Swiss Match Play—the Swiss qualifying—where you'll play across the rotation of machines. From there, the top players move into a double-elimination finals bracket, meaning you've got to lose twice before you're out. It's a full day of play, and the field is open to anyone who wants to jump in.
Because it's an IFPA-certified event, the scoring follows official IFPA rules: 7 points for first place, 5 for second, 3 for third, and 1 for fourth. It's also run under IFPA player conduct rules, so the whole thing stays within the standard competitive framework. You can register on-site or at the door, though pre-registration is encouraged if you want to secure your spot before the day starts.
