Steep Canyon Rangers play The 04 Center on Saturday, February 20, 2027. The show is presented by The 04 Center and In-House Presents, and it's open to all ages.
The band comes from the Appalachian and Piedmont regions of North Carolina, and they've spent their career keeping traditional bluegrass at the center while pulling in influences from across the region. Over the years, that's pushed them beyond the bluegrass world; they're now regarded as some of the most influential songwriters in Americana. The latest addition to the group, Aaron Burdett, brings a soul-stirring element to their mountain music.
They've put out 14 studio albums and three collaborative records with actor and banjoist Steve Martin. Along the way, they've earned three Grammy nominations and won the 2013 Grammy for Best Bluegrass Album for Nobody Knows You. Rare Bird (2012) and North Carolina Songbook (2020) were also nominated. They're also in the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame.

On stage, the lineup is Graham Sharp on banjo, Mike Guggino on mandolin and mandola, Aaron Burdett on guitar, Nicky Sanders on fiddle, Mike Ashworth on drums, and Barrett Smith on bass and guitar. Doors open at 7 PM, and the show starts at 8 PM. The 04 Center is at 2701 South Lamar Blvd in Austin.
