Live music session featuring Jim Loessberg at the intimate venue Sam's Town Point, with Little Elmore Reed Blues Band later.
Jim Loessberg headlines Steel Monday at Sam's Town Point on Monday, August 10, with the Little Elmore Reed Blues Band following him later in the evening. Loessberg is an Austin artist, and this is part of the venue's Steel Monday series, so if you've been following that particular night, you know the drill.
Sam's Town Point is one of those spots that feels like a bit of a secret. It's tucked away in a wooded neighborhood south of Slaughter and Manchaca, hidden from the road and sitting well south of the city's usual music hubs. Over time, it's built its own following, and it's come to be seen as the south pole of Austin's musical axis, with a scene that's grown around it as a happening spot in its own right. If you've never been, it's the kind of place you have to actually seek out.

The night is split into two sets. Loessberg takes the stage at 7 PM, and once he's wrapped up, the Little Elmore Reed Blues Band takes over at 9 PM. Between the two, you get a full evening of music starting in the early part of the night and running well into it, so you can come for one or hang around for both. The venue is at 2115 Allred Dr. in Austin, TX.
