A song circle featuring Austin-based talent Deer Fellow, DOSSEY, Dave Scher and Adam Walker at The 04 Center.
Deer Fellow, DOSSEY, Dave Scher, and Adam Walker are the lineup for the next Sonic Guild Song Circle at The 04 Center on Friday, August 7. It's a bill of four Austin-based songwriters sharing one stage, and they each bring a pretty distinct sound to the mix.
Deer Fellow is the duo of Matt Salois and Alyssa Kelly, who blend indie pop and folk with guitar looping and violin. DOSSEY is a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer known for an energetic alt-pop style that pulls from 80s synth-pop and 70s guitar licks. Dave Scher is a versatile multi-instrumentalist who plays guitar, mandolin, fiddle, bass, piano, and organ, and is noted for a powerful and sensual voice. Adam Walker, the vocalist of the indie electro-Americana duo Me Nd Adam, is recognized for blending classic American songwriting with modern pop production.
Between them, that's a lot of ground to cover in one night: looping and violin from one end, synth-pop and 70s guitar from another, a multi-instrumentalist who can jump between six different instruments, and a voice that leans into the electro-Americana side of things. The Sonic Guild Song Circle is built around that kind of variety, putting a few local songwriters together on the same bill rather than one headliner and a few openers. If you've been following any of these names around town, this is a good chance to see them all in the same room.

It's happening Friday, August 7, at The 04 Center. If you're not already familiar with the Sonic Guild, they've been putting together these showcases of Austin talent for a while now, and this one brings together four songwriters who rarely share a stage.
