Benefit show celebrating Austin's local music community with performances from ten local artists, including grant winners Cormae and LeTrainiump.
Sonic Guild is bringing the Sonic Guild Ball to ACL Live at The Moody Theater on Friday, December 11, for a benefit show that puts ten local artists on one stage. The night is run by Sonic Guild, formerly known as Black Fret, and it's built around the city's music community rather than a single headliner. The lineup features grant winners Cormae, LeTrainiump, Andrew Cashen & The Disciples of Creation, Gran Moreno, Judy Blank, and J Soulja, along with four other Austin artists.
There's a specific reason for the gathering. The evening takes its cue from the Golden Girls and their reminder to "thank you for being a friend," and it's meant to bring together the music, creativity, and community that connect the city. Beyond the performances, the night works as a benefit: Sonic Guild awards $100,000 in grants to the year's winners, and every ticket sold helps fund those grants, providing direct support to the local musicians who shape Austin's sound and spirit.
