Country music artist Shad Blair performs live at The White Horse in Austin.
Shad Blair plays The White Horse on Saturday, August 22, with the set starting at 5:30 PM. It's a single-bill night, so Blair is the only name on the marquee.
If you're not familiar with the room, The White Horse is a Lower East honky-tonk that opened on Comal in December 2011. It was started by Nathan Hill and Denis O'Donnell, who both spent time managing the Hole in the Wall before opening this spot. The venue helped push the Eastside music expansion and has since broken modern outlaw country acts like Mike & the Moonpies and Leo Rondeau. Sundays there have long belonged to Eastside institution Conjunto Los Pinkys. Along the way, it picked up a 2012 Readers Poll for Best New Bar and Best New Club, and a 2014 Critics Pick for Best Boot-Scuffed Dance Floor.
