Restos In Plain View album release party with special guests Not In The Face, Dossey, and Danny Golden at The Continental Club.
Restos are playing The Continental Club on Saturday, September 26, to release their new album, In Plain View. It's a full night of music, with doors opening at 10 PM and the bill running late into the early hours.
Restos grew out of the local rock band Western Youth, and they've kept the same lineup: Graham Weber on vocals and guitar, Mark Nathan on lead guitar, Chris Spencer on bass, Sam Powell on keys, and Brian Bowe on drums. In Plain View comes out this autumn, rooted in rock and roll with sprinkles of Americana. They take the stage at 11 PM.
They're sharing the bill with three other Austin acts. Not In The Face opens at 10:15 PM; they started as a joke between two friends playing hyperactive cover versions of classic R&B, doo-wop, and rock 'n' roll, and have since played SXSW and supported ZZ Top, Guitar Wolf, Black Lips, and David Allen Coe. Dossey follows at midnight, an independent alternative pop and rock project from Austin singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Dossey. Closing the night at 1:15 AM is Danny Golden, a Pittsburgh native who studied philosophy, classical music, and bluegrass banjo at Colorado College and has called Austin home for the last decade, blending folk, indie rock, and confessional storytelling.
