Pre-release party with Lady Shacklin and Caribbean music from DJ Dro, Mista B, and DJ Oldskool.
Lady Shacklin is taking over Flamingo Cantina on Saturday, September 12, for a night they're calling Reggae Vibes & Everything Caribbean. It's a pre-release party for her new single, Callin Me, so the whole evening is built around getting that track out there before it officially drops. The night is presented by Flamingo Cantina and Mista B.
Shacklin isn't the only one on the bill. She's joined by DJ Dro, Mista B, and DJ Oldskool, and together they're pulling from a wide spread of Caribbean sounds. You'll hear reggae and dancehall, but they're also bringing in soca, afrobeats, and Caribbean anthems—the kind of records that usually keep a dance floor moving long after the headliner has finished. It's a broad reach, so the set should move through a few different moods over the course of the night.

Flamingo Cantina is at 515 East 6th Street, and the party runs from 9 PM to 2 AM, so there's plenty of room to settle in. It's an over-21s event, with food available and drink specials running throughout. There's a $10 cover at the door.
