Rage Room Austin presents Austin Psycho

Rage Room Austin is running Austin Psycho through October 31, a slasher-themed smash room experience that leans hard into blood-splattered chaos. It's an immersive setup where you suit up in gear and step into a late-night thriller that pays homage to local rainy urban legends, letting you live out iconic horror moments in a judgment-free, blood-drenched space where you can release your inner urges. The whole thing is built around the slasher genre, so it's less about a story and more about the feeling of being inside a horror movie.

If you've never been to a smash room, the premise is simple: you get to break things. You're given protective gear and a room full of stuff to destroy, and you just go to town. Austin Psycho adds the horror layer to that, turning the act of breaking things into a slasher movie scenario. It's a physical, high-energy way to spend an hour, and since it's a smash room, you don't have to worry about making a mess—that's the whole point.

It's a two-person experience, so you'll want to bring a friend to share the chaos with. Pricing features an early bird discount of $80 for two people, gradually increasing to $90, and the run is open from Thursday, September 17, through October 31, which puts it right in the middle of the Halloween season. You can find it at Rage Room Austin at Duke's Adventure Golf, 1716 E Slaughter Ln, Austin, TX 78747.
