Rachel Gillig will be at the First Baptist Church of Austin on Monday, September 7, for a conversation presented by BookPeople. The evening is built around the release of The Knave and the Moon, the sequel to her #1 New York Times bestseller The Knight and the Moth. If you've been following the story, this is the one that picks up where the first left off.
Gillig is a #1 New York Times and #1 Sunday Times bestselling author, known for The Knight and the Moth and The Shepherd King series. Before the books, she was a preschool teacher and an artist, and she holds a B.A. in Literary Theory and Criticism from UC Davis. The conversation will be led by Aparna Verma, who was born in Rajasthan, India, grew up in the United States, and graduated from Stanford University with Honors in the Arts and a B.A. in English.

The session itself runs 45 to 60 minutes. A pre-signed copy of The Knave and the Moon is included in the ticket, and there is no post-talk signing or meet-and-greet, so you'll walk away with your book regardless of where you sit. Check-in starts at 5:30 PM, and the talk runs from 6 PM to 7 PM. Tickets are $47 for general admission plus the pre-signed book.
