Texas Banked Track Roller Derby ninth game of the season: Las Putas Del Fuego face off with the Hellcats.
Las Putas Del Fuego take on the Hellcats at the Travis County Expo Center on Saturday, August 29. It's the ninth game of the Texas Roller Derby 2026 season, so we're well into the calendar by the time these two teams meet. If you've been following the season, this is one of the later bouts on the schedule.
For those who aren't already in the loop, Texas Roller Derby is Austin's only full-contact, banked track roller derby league. The banked track is the real deal—the track itself is tilted, so the skaters are leaning into the turns rather than skating on a flat surface. It's a distinct style of the sport, and it's what earned the league a description from Rolling Stone as "the Sport's Toughest League."
The 2026 season is spread across the league's home venues: the TXRD Thunderdome, Palmer Events Center, and the Travis County Expo Center. This bout lands at the Expo Center, one of the three spots where you'll find the league playing throughout the year.

Doors open at 5 PM and wheels hit the track at 6 PM, so there's plenty of time to get settled before the first jam. Tickets are $30 for general admission, available both in advance and at the door, and kids 12 and under get in free. If you're bringing the family, that's a nice break on the ticket cost. Just a heads-up: all tickets are final sale with no refunds, so make sure your Saturday is clear before you pull the trigger.
