Live hip-hop artist showcase and competition hosted by Carlos Corleone on East 6th, featuring rising local talent.
Put The City On Austin lands at Flamingo Cantina on Saturday, September 19, a live hip-hop showcase and competition that puts rising local artists on stage for a night on East 6th. It's presented by Mainstage Empire and Put The City On, with Carlos Corleone hosting the whole thing.
The format is a competition: local artists perform, and the stakes go beyond just the applause. The prizes on the table are meetings with Atlantic Records, an opening slot for Yung Bleu, and Mic Drop Video prizes. If you're a performer yourself, there are free artist slots available through (832) 677-5658, so you can get on the bill rather than just watching from the floor.

It runs from 9 PM to 2 AM, which gives the night plenty of room to breatheβthe artists get their time on stage, and there's space for the competition to play out without feeling rushed. It's a 21+ show, and tickets are $20. Between the late start and the early close, it's the kind of night that starts when the East 6th bars are already humming and carries through well past midnight.
