A sip and paint session where attendees paint a witches' broom canvas while watching the film 'Practical Magic' at The Art Garage.
The Art Garage is hosting a Practical Magic canvas sip and paint on Sunday, October 11, from 3 PM to 5 PM. It's one of those afternoon sessions where you get to hang out and paint while a movie runs in the background, and this time the screen is showing the 1998 witchy classic Practical Magic.
Everyone in the room works on the same thing: a canvas of a witches' broom. You paint your own version of it while the movie plays, so you can keep your eyes on the screen and your brush moving at the same time. The whole point is to spend a few hours painting, drinking, and hanging out with other people who are doing the same thing. It's a low-pressure way to spend a Sunday afternoon, and you walk away with a finished painting.
One thing that makes this easy to fit into your day is that it's happening at all three Art Garage locations—Oak Hill, Brentwood, and North Lamar Blvd—so you can just pick the one closest to you. The session is for ages 16 and up, which keeps it open for a mixed crowd rather than just adults.
