A six-session online poetry workshop led by Hollie Hardy, focusing on deep feedback and revision of poems toward publication.
Hollie Hardy is leading a poetry revision workshop online this fall, running on alternating Thursdays from August 13 through October 22. It's a six-session course built around deep feedback: you submit a poem for written critique and read and reflect on your fellow poets' work, with the goal of refining each piece toward publication. New work is welcome but not required, so you can bring something you're still chewing on or a piece you've had in a drawer for a while.
Hardy is a poet, educator, and the author of two collections: Lions Like Us (Red Light Lit Press, 2024) and How to Take a Bullet: And Other Survival Poems (Punk Hostage Press, 2014), which won the Annual Poetry Center Book Award at San Francisco State University, where she also earned her MFA in Poetry. She lives here in Austin and runs a small literary ecosystem of her own: she teaches private workshops, edits manuscripts, and hosts the monthly virtual open mic Saturday Night Special. She's also cofounded and curated several literary series and events, including Flight of Poets, Oakland's Beast Crawl Literary Festival, Velvet Revolution, and Pairings for the Senses. Her work has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and appears in journals like Alchemy, Caesura, Colossus, The Common, and Fourteen Hills.
