Pierre Bensusan brings his Infinite Guitar Tour 2026 to The 04 Center on Thursday, October 8. He's a French acoustic guitar virtuoso, vocalist, and composer, and if you've come across his name before, it's probably tied to the nicknames 'Mister DADGAD' and 'The Prince of DADGAD'—both a nod to the open tuning he's known for.
Bensusan started as a pianist and taught himself guitar, and he's since built a career that's hard to pin to one spot. He's been performing since 1974, starting in France and eventually selling half a million albums and playing thousands of concerts, both solo and in collaboration. Along the way, he's picked up a few awards: the Rose d'Or at the Montreux Festival for his debut album, a Best World Music Guitarist vote from Guitar Player magazine readers, and the Grand Prix at the Independent Music Awards for his triple live album, Encore. He plays a multi-shell Lowden guitar, and his recording credits include working with Donny Osmond; Steve Vai released three of his albums on his Favored Nations label.
