Live country music performance by Phil Hollie at The White Horse.
Phil Hollie plays The White Horse on Monday, August 10, with the venue open from 7:30 PM to 1:00 AM. Hollie takes the stage from 10:30 PM to 12:15 AM, so it's a late-night set that puts him in the middle of the night rather than at the start of it.
If you haven't spent much time there, The White Horse is at 500 Comal Street. It opened in December 2011 as the honky-tonk of Nathan Hill and Denis O'Donnell, who spent years managing the Hole in the Wall and helping launch modern outlaw country acts like Mike & the Moonpies and Leo Rondeau. Sundays there belong to Eastside institution Conjunto Los Pinkys, and the venue's low-set stage and packed, multi-generational dancing crowd fit right into Austin's old-school ethos. It's the kind of place where the dance floor is as much a part of the night as the music on stage.

For this particular Monday, the lineup is just Hollie. He's the main feature of the night, and his set runs from 10:30 PM to 12:15 AM, so you'll have plenty of time to settle in before he starts. There's a $5 cover at the door.
