A broad pop-culture convention featuring comics, gaming, film, TV, cosplay, and collectibles, with celebrity guests, panels, workshops, and live events.
PCX Austin is taking over the Fairmont Austin on Saturday, August 15, and Sunday, August 16. It's a broad pop-culture convention, so it covers a lot of ground—comics, gaming, film, TV, cosplay, and collectibles—rather than sticking to one niche. The exhibitor area carries comics, collectibles, original artwork, retro games, tabletop miniatures, cosplay gear, anime merchandise, and TCG-related goods, with an Artist Alley for original work. While it's a general pop-culture show, the vendor and artist lineup leans heavily into gaming and TCG territory, and several of the guest artists have worked on Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons.
Beyond the show floor, the weekend is built around celebrity and voice-actor guests, panels, workshops, cosplay competitions, and live events. Among the guests are voice actors John Gremillion and Matthew Sussman, the original voice of Meowth. There's a concert on Saturday night and a LEGO Speed Build Challenge hosted by Krystle Starr.
