Pan American Hillside Concert Series

The Pan American Hillside Concert Series continues tomorrow, Tuesday, July 28, at Pan American Neighborhood Park. It's a historic fixture of the neighborhood's summer program, bringing live music to the park's open lawn. If you've spent any time around East Austin in the summer, you know the drill: a blanket, some chairs, and a spot on the grass while the music carries across the lawn.

Between sets, Austin Resource Recovery will be running a booth on-site. They'll have staff on hand to talk through recycling and composting, and to go over the city's on-demand collection services and other department programs. It's the kind of thing that's easy to ignore when you're just there for the music, but if you've been wondering how to get your composting sorted or how the on-demand pickup actually works, this is a good chance to get a straight answer without having to dig through the city website.

The concert runs from 6 PM to 9 PM at Pan American Neighborhood Park, 2100 E. 3rd St., Austin, TX 78702. The Resource Recovery booth will be there throughout the evening, so you can swing by whenever it fits.
