Austin's improv, sketch and standup comedy festival with 80+ acts across four venues, including weekend improv workshops.
Out of Bounds Comedy Festival returns to Austin from November 5 to 8, 2026, with more than 80 acts spread across four venues: ColdTowne Theater, Fallout Theater, Rozco's Comedy Club, and the Dougherty Arts Center. It's an improv, sketch, and standup festival, and it's been running since 2002, so it's one of the longer-running comedy events in the city.
The lineup mixes Austin favorites with comedians and troupes visiting from Chicago, LA, New York, Dallas, and Seattle. With over 80 acts across four stages, you've got a lot to choose from over the four days, and the mix of improv, sketch, and standup means you can bounce between different styles of comedy without leaving the festival. If you're not just there to watch, there are also weekend improv workshops for anyone who wants to get on stage themselves.

Logistically, the festival runs across the city, so you'll be moving between the four venues. The early-bird All-Access badge was $99 through September 23, and it went up to $119 on September 24. That badge gets you into the shows across the different venues throughout the festival.
