A live movie commentary show and variety performance by Tim Heidecker and Gregg Turkington, part of their On Cinema tour.
Gregg Turkington and Tim Heidecker bring On Cinema Live! to Bass Concert Hall on Monday, November 16, from 8 PM to 10 PM. It's part of The Certified Five Bags of Popcorn Tour, which runs through early and mid-November across Salt Lake City, Denver, Kansas City, Oklahoma City, Dallas, Houston, Austin, and Tucson.
If you're not familiar, On Cinema is an absurdist project that started as a television show. On stage, it's a mix of a variety show and a movie review panel, performed by the same on-screen personas you'll recognize from the series. The whole thing is built around the internal strife and petty battles between the two, so the tension is as much a part of the act as the movies they're talking about.
This tour expands on their spring 2026 run and touches on newer storylines from the On Cinema universe. That includes New (Tim) Amato's life in Lake Havasu, his Arizona gubernatorial campaign, and the HEI Network's family-friendly series Dootle Dots. If you've been following the saga, these are the threads they'll be pulling at live.
