Nico Little & The North Americans

Nico Little & The North Americans play C-Boy's Heart & Soul Bar on Monday, August 10, starting at 10 PM. It's a late one, and the lineup is just them.

Nico Little is an Ohio-born, Canadian-raised blues-rock guitarist and songwriter who packed his car in Montreal and drove to Austin in 2023. Since then, he and his rotating band, The North Americans, have worked their way through the Texas rock and blues scene, playing or headlining many of the state's most iconic venues, including Antone's Nightclub, the Continental Club, the Corpus Christi Amphitheater and the Austin Long Center. Their sound draws on a wide range of blues and rock artists, with influences including Stevie Ray Vaughan, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, Jimi Hendrix, Gary Clark Jr, Muddy Waters, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Grateful Dead, John Mayer, John Lee Hooker, ZZ Top and Lonnie Mack.

In 2025 the lineup grew to include international guitar phenom Rhys John Stygal, and the pair have since played alongside legends such as Buddy Guy, Gary Clark Jr, Christone 'Kingfish' Ingram and Kenny Wayne Shepherd. That second guitar on stage changes the dynamic, and you'll hear it in the way they trade lines and build on each other. The set is blues-rock, and the influences they cite—from SRV and Muddy Waters to the Grateful Dead and ZZ Top—give you a good sense of where they're pulling from.
