Neon Rodeo

Neon Rodeo takes over ACL Live at The Moody Theater on Friday, August 21, starting at 8 PM. It's a one-night-only celebration of Austin's LGBTQ+ community that brings together country music, queer culture, and live entertainment. The night is presented by Neon Rainbows and marks 15 years of Queer Country in Austin.

The stage is led by Neon Rainbows, with Next of Kin, The Cowgays, Ed West, and Brigitte Bandit filling out the bill. It's a full lineup of country-leaning acts, so the music stays in that lane from start to finish. The whole thing is built around that intersection of country and queer culture, and the 15-year milestone gives the night a bit of history to it.

There's more to the evening than just the music. Running alongside the show is a curated marketplace of local queer-owned businesses and artists, with EMSBRYNART, Lone Star Queer, Cousin Kenny's, Muyinza, The Little Gay Shop, Eastside Pop Up, and Finery all setting up. You can browse through their work before the music starts, and a portion of the proceeds from the night goes to the Austin LGBT Chamber of Commerce Education Fund.
