Live country music night featuring Missy Beth & The Morning Afters, Blake Whitmire, and The Mellows at The White Horse.
Missy Beth & The Morning Afters lead a three-band bill at The White Horse on Tuesday, July 28. The night runs from 7:30 PM to 1:00 AM, with Missy Beth & The Morning Afters taking the stage from 8:00 PM to 9:45 PM. They're followed by the Blake Whitmire Band from 10:00 PM to 11:45 PM, and The Mellows from 11:55 PM to 1:55 AM. It's a long stretch of music that carries well past midnight, so you can catch one act and head home early or stay through all three.
The White Horse is on Comal Street in Austin's Lower East, where co-owners Nathan Hill and Denis O'Donnell brought their honky-tonk style to the neighborhood when they opened in December 2011. The pair spent years managing the Hole in the Wall, and they brought that same approach here, helping break modern outlaw country acts like Mike & the Moonpies and Leo Rondeau. Sundays have long belonged to Eastside institution Conjunto Los Pinkys. The low-set stage and the multi-generational dancing crowd that often fills the floor reflect a long-standing Austin ethos. The night is 21+.
