Michael Hale Organ Trio

Michael Hale Organ Trio plays The Continental Club Gallery on Monday, October 12. It's a late one, starting at 10:30 PM, so you'll want to keep that in mind if you're planning your night around it.

If you're not familiar with the room, the Gallery is the upstairs space above the Continental Club's main stage on South Congress. It opened in 2008 and holds around 40 people, which puts it right in the middle of the action. It's a regular home for Austin's jazz scene, with names like Elias Haslanger, Ephraim Owens, and Robert Kraft passing through, alongside singer-songwriters like James McMurtry and Jon Dee Graham and jam bands like Kalu James and Matt Hubbard. The room also runs a quarterly 'Tertulia' in the Iberian tradition of mixing poetry, song, and performance. It was named Austin Chronicle Critics Picks Best Intimate Music Moment in 2015 and Best Re-Opened Li'l Lounge in 2009.

On this particular Monday, the focus is on the Michael Hale Organ Trio. The set starts at 10:30 PM, and there's a $7 cover at the door. It's a 21+ show, so bring your ID. The venue is at 1313-A S. Congress, Austin, TX 78704.
