Marshall Hood performs live at The Continental Club, a classic Austin Americana show with no cover charge, 21+ only.
Marshall Hood plays The Continental Club this Sunday, October 11, at 2:30 PM. It's a no-cover show, and the venue is 21+ only.
If the name sounds familiar, it's because Hood comes from a deep Austin musical lineage. He's the youngest of the Hood family: his uncle Champ Hood was an original member of Uncle Walt's Band and a longtime guitarist for Lyle Lovett, and his cousin Warren Hood is a fiddler and composer known for his work with The Waybacks, The Bodeans, and his own band, Warren Hood and the Goods. Marshall rounds out the family with effortless guitar work and a knack for crafting charming, genre-transcending songs in the vein of his uncle Champ's, backed by a keen lyrical sense and subtly catchy melodies.
He first made his mark with The Belleville Outfit before becoming a familiar face on Austin stages, playing with his own band, alongside Toni Price, and as a longtime collaborator with Warren Hood. His shows are described as classic Austin: easygoing, deeply musical, and rooted in the city's Americana tradition, with warm harmonies, tasteful guitar work, and a mix of original songs and timeless roots music.
