Thursday night residency featuring D-Madness, Austin singers Azurah Vibez and Deuce Monroe, and a special guest artist at Flamingo Cantina.
D-Madness is back at Flamingo Cantina this Thursday, July 23, for another night of his Mad Vibez residency. It's part of a run that's been taking over Thursday nights at the Flam Can throughout May, June, and July, so if you've been meaning to catch it, this is one of the last chances of the summer.
On stage, D-Madness is joined by Rapid Ric and Austin singers Azurah Vibez and Deuce Monroe, with Azurah Vibez hosting the night. The residency is built around a rotating cast of Austin singers and a different special guest artist every week, so the lineup shifts a bit each time. It's a one-man project at its core, but it opens up into a full band on stage.
If you aren't familiar with him, D-Madness is a multi-instrumentalist who writes, produces, and sings funk, R&B, soul, and hip-hop infused tunes. He's known around town as one of the artists who helped Austin earn the title of Live Music Capital, and he's a cornerstone of the city's music scene. When he's not fronting his own project, he's the bass player for the house band of the live comedy podcast Kill Tony, often called "The Best Damn Band in the Land."
