Logan Samford, a solo country and rock artist from the Great Plains of Texas, performs live with Madisons at The Far Out Lounge.
Logan Samford plays The Far Out Lounge & Stage on Thursday, August 27, with Madisons joining him. Samford is a Texas rock and country solo artist, and this is an all-ages night, so you can bring the kids along if that's your speed.
He comes from the Great Plains of Texas, raised in the small town of Nazareth. He picked up the guitar when he was twelve, and you can hear where he's coming from in the names he cites as influences: Gary Allan, Nirvana, Ryan Adams, and George Strait. That's a wide spread—country, grunge, alt-country, and traditional country all in one list—and it gives you a pretty good idea of the ground he covers. He's spent time in Texas and Red Dirt bands, including Seven Miles South and the recently disbanded Shotgun Rider, and he put out a self-titled EP on January 31, 2020.
This show has him out front as a solo artist, backed by Madisons. If you've followed the Red Dirt scene, you'll recognize the lineage there. Between the band years and the solo work, he's been playing across the state for a while now.
