A night of Jamaican old school roots, rock and reggae with Link & Chain and Hail Marley! at Flamingo Cantina.
Link & Chain are playing Flamingo Cantina on Sunday, July 19, for a night of Jamaican old school roots, rock and reggae. They're a legendary harmony quartet from Jamaica, known for their soulful sounds and infectious rhymes. The name comes from the struggle of their ancestors and the unity of people coming together, and they describe their music as spiritual and danceable, designed to uplift and entertain. Their work is rooted in their Rastafari faith.
They aren't the only ones on the bill. Austin's own reggae outfit Hail Marley! opens for them, and DJ Selector Screech will be on the decks. The show runs from 8 PM to 2 AM, so it's a long one that goes well into the early morning. Caribbean food will be available from Winston's Kitchen, which fits the music.
