A live album party celebrating Ariana Grande's discography with performances by Interplanetary Help Desk, where 100% of ticket sales support Austin nonprofits.
Ariana Grande is the focus of an album party at 29th Street Ballroom on Friday, July 31, from 6 PM to 9 PM. The night is part of Let's Fund Good, a summer series from KUTX in partnership with Interplanetary Help Desk that pairs six live concerts with six album parties. The party side of the series is a bit different from a standard show: instead of a band playing a set, they're running four of Grande's albums back-to-back—Thank U, Next, Positions, Eternal Sunshine, and Petal—so you get a good stretch of her discography in one go.
Interplanetary Help Desk is providing the live performances for the series, and they're the ones behind the album parties too. The whole thing is all ages, so it's as much for the younger crowd as for anyone who's been following her since the early records.
The hook here is where the money goes. 100% of ticket sales from the series go to 24 participating Austin nonprofits, and when you buy your ticket, you get to choose which organization it supports. The proceeds from this particular night go to local causes like Austin Pets Alive!, Keep Austin Beautiful, Make-a-Wish Central & South Texas, the Young Women's Alliance, and the Texas Council on Family Violence. It's a straightforward way to put your ticket money toward a local organization you actually care about.
