A night of two-step dancing with dance lessons from Native Texan, followed by the Judy's Y'allter Ego dance session.
Judy Blank hosts Judy's Y'allter Ego at The Highball on Thursday, July 23, a night built around two-step dancing. It's a two-part evening: a dance lesson with Native Texan starts at 7 PM, and the main event, Judy's Y'allter Ego, follows at 8 PM. If you've never two-stepped before, the lesson is a good place to get your footing before the dance floor fills up.
The venue is The Highball, 1120 South Lamar Boulevard, a bar and event space attached to the Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar movie theater. It's known for trivia nights, live bands, and karaoke rooms that celebrate geeky thrills ranging from Super Mario to cinematic Satanism, and it's picked up several Best of Austin Awards over the years, including Readers Poll - Trivia Night in 2022 and Readers Poll - Karaoke from 2015 through 2019. The whole night is for ages 21 and over, so bring your ID.
