Grammy-winning folk-rock duo Indigo Girls perform live at ACL Live at The Moody Theater, with special guest Linda Perry.
Indigo Girls play ACL Live at The Moody Theater on Saturday, September 26, with Linda Perry as special guest. The duo is Emily Saliers and Amy Ray, who started out playing clubs and bars around their native Atlanta before signing to Epic Records in 1988. Their self-titled major-label debut sold over two million copies, driven by the singles "Closer to Fine" and "Kid Fears," and became the first of six consecutive Gold and/or Platinum-certified albums.
Across four decades, they've put out 16 studio albums and sold more than 15 million records, and they've spent that time carving out a space for Queer artists in the mainstream. They're also committed activists, working on racial justice, reproductive rights, immigration reform, LGBTQ advocacy, education, death penalty reform, and Native American rights. Their 2024 record Look Long reunited them in the studio with what they describe as their strongest backing band to date.

Their music has reached new audiences recently, too: "Closer to Fine" was featured in Greta Gerwig's Barbie. In 2023, the documentary Indigo Girls: It's Only Life After All was a New York Times Critic's Pick and premiered at Sundance, and the jukebox musical Glitter & Doom featured a star-studded queer cast. This show brings them back to the stage with Linda Perry opening the night. The concert starts at 7 PM.
