A double-header night of tribute music featuring In the Flesh (Pink Floyd) and Six Foot Ten (Grateful Dead) at Flamingo Cantina.
In the Flesh and Six Foot Ten are sharing the stage at Flamingo Cantina on Friday, August 14. It's a double header that puts two tribute acts on one bill: In the Flesh, a Pink Floyd tribute, and Six Foot Ten, a Grateful Dead tribute. They're playing as a pair, so you'll get both bands in a single night rather than picking one or the other.
If you're not familiar with the two, they're working from opposite ends of the psychedelic tradition. In the Flesh focuses on Pink Floyd, known for those long, atmospheric builds and the kind of production that usually takes a whole album to unfold. Six Foot Ten takes on the Grateful Dead, a band built on improvisation and the kind of loose, jam-heavy sets that could go in any direction. Putting them together on the same bill means you'll hear the more structured, cinematic side of the era alongside the more open-ended, improvisational side.
