iLL Manner Shows and The Smoke Out ATX are teaming up for a double anniversary party at Brushy Street Commons on Thursday, July 23. It's a night built around two milestones: ten years of iLL Manner Shows, the passion project Jamal McKinney started a decade ago, and eight years of The Smoke Out ATX, the event series J Soulja has run for nearly as long. Both have spent their years championing Texas rap, and this party puts them on the same bill.
The lineup is a deep dive into the local scene. SSG Splurge, LHF Lil Ke, Blakchyl, and Shelby Ruger are the headliners, and they're joined by Shirt Off Fe, JahleelFareaL, J. Mill, and more. It's a Texas rap showcase through and through, with the bill leaning on the city's hip-hop community rather than a single headliner.
Beyond the music, there's a bit of a giveaway in the mix: Laced Grillz is expected to hand out free gold jewelry on a first-come, first-served basis. If you're planning on that, you'll want to get there early.
