Doom Records takeover of the Hotel Vegas Grandstand with live performances by Jobu, Mom Found the Pistol, Promise?, and Tamsen.
Doom Records is taking over the Hotel Vegas Grandstand on Wednesday, August 26, with a four-band bill that runs from early evening into the night. It's a label showcase, so the whole night is built around their roster rather than a single headliner. The lineup is Tamsen, Promise?, Mom Found the Pistol, and Jobu, and they're all playing the same stage, which means you can just pick a spot and stay put for the whole run.
Since it's a takeover, the night is less about one big act and more about seeing who's on the label. You'll get four sets back-to-back, so it's a good way to catch several bands in one go without having to run between venues. If you've only heard one of them, it's an easy chance to hear the others without much effort.

The show is at Hotel Vegas & The Volstead Lounge, 1502 E 6th St, in East Austin. It starts at 8 PM, and since it's a Wednesday, it's a mid-week night out rather than a weekend marathon. The door is $5, and it's 21+, so bring your ID.
