A 2000s dance party with Hot In Herre, featuring 3+ hours of nonstop throwback hits from the first decade of the millennium.
Hot In Herre brings its 2000s dance party to 29th Street Ballroom on Saturday, August 8, presented by Resound. It's a night dedicated to the first decade of the millennium, with more than three hours of nonstop throwback hits from the era. The music covers the whole spread of the 2000s—pop, hip-hop, indie, R&B, and emo—so it's not just one corner of the decade. The set draws from Nelly, Britney Spears, Beyoncé, Usher, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Panic! At The Disco, Eminem, Outkast, 50 Cent, Justin Timberlake, Pink, and Shakira, among others. Era-defining visuals run throughout the night, and song requests are open all evening.
Hot In Herre bills itself as the biggest 2000s/Y2K dance party in the country, and the dress code is a big part of that. They encourage everyone to come in 2000s gear—fuzzy pink Juicy Couture sweats, low-rise jeans, UGG boots, crop tops, and Ed Hardy shirts—and to bring along their old iPod playlists. If you still have a folder of Y2K-era favorites, this is the night to dust them off.
