Hocus Pocus Drag Brunch

Chevelle Brooks is taking over Cap City Comedy Club on Saturday, October 31, for a Hocus Pocus themed drag brunch. It's a Halloween morning show, so the whole thing is built around the movie, with Brooks leading the performances. If you're already planning to spend the day in costume, this is one way to kick it off.

Since it's a brunch, the food and drinks come as part of the experience, and the show runs from 12 PM to 2 PM. The Hocus Pocus theme sets the tone for the costumes and the set, so it's the kind of thing that works best if you lean into the holiday. The brunch format means you're eating and drinking while the performances happen, rather than sitting through a traditional stage show.

Chevelle Brooks is the main feature, and the whole thing is hosted at Cap City Comedy Club in Austin. It's a Saturday morning slot, which is a bit different from the usual late-night drag or comedy sets you'll find around town. If you're looking for something to do on Halloween that doesn't involve staying up until 2 AM, this fits that bill.

It all goes down on Saturday, October 31, from 12 PM to 2 PM at Cap City Comedy Club.
