Benefit concert night supporting the Health Alliance for Local Musicians (HAAM) with performances by High Heavens, Late Wife and Marathon Runner; pay what you can.
High Heavens, Late Wife, and Marathon Runner play 29th Street Ballroom on Tuesday, September 22, as part of HAAM Day. It's a benefit night for the Health Alliance for Local Musicians, an Austin organization that provides local musicians with access to affordable health, wellness, and prevention services to strengthen their quality of life. Every cent from the evening goes to the cause.
The three bands share the bill, with High Heavens, Late Wife, and Marathon Runner each taking their turn on stage. It's a night built around the local scene, and the proceeds go back into it.
The venue is 29th Street Ballroom, at 2906 Fruth St. It's a bar and room run by the team behind Hotel Vegas, Kinda Tropical, Tweedy's, Little Darlin', CHESS CLUB, Yellow Jacket Social Club, and Resound Presents. They describe it as "your second living room," a place for solid hangs, loud music, cold drinks, and warm food, paying tribute to what has come before and what is coming next.
