Weekly pub quiz night with seven rounds of trivia questions, played in teams with prizes for winners.
Geeks Who Drink hold court at The Far Out Lounge & Stage every Monday night, starting at 7:30 PM. It's a weekly trivia night that runs on a pretty set format: seven rounds of eight questions each, with audio and visual rounds mixed in. You play in teams of up to six people, and there's no need to book a table in advance—you just show up. The winning teams walk away with bar cash and other prizes, and bonus questions along the way offer a few more goodies.
They describe the whole thing as being built in the image of pub quizzes in Ireland and the U.K., billed as an authentic homegrown trivia night and a way to drink with friends without burning brain cells, where useless knowledge means everything. That's the spirit of the night: the kind of random facts that usually only come up in the middle of a long dinner, finally coming in handy. Between the audio and visual rounds, it's not just about what you can recall off the top of your head—you'll be listening and looking, too.
