A city-wide biennial arts and music festival in Austin featuring film, music, theatre, dance, visual art and literature across various venues.
Fusebox Festival returns to Austin in April 2027, with the wider festival running for seven days across the city. It's a biennial event, so this is the first time it's back since 2025. The festival gathers creators working across film, music, theatre, dance, visual art and literature, with events filling venues all over town—from intimate galleries and clubs to larger projects in parks and warehouses.
Fusebox has been an Austin home for live performance, art and music since 2005, and it's championed adventurous artists for over two decades. In that time, it's supported more than 1,200 projects and 4,000 artists. Beyond the festival, it runs a year-round slate of shows anchored by a partnership with Texas Performing Arts.
One of the festival's key dates is Fusebash, the organization's signature annual gala. This year it's at Distribution Hall on February 27, 2027, starting at 6 PM. It's a night of live performances and a menu by some of the city's most celebrated chefs, and 100% of the proceeds go toward paying artists and supporting Austin's artistic ecosystem. The gala also draws on The Fusebox 1000, a community of people who believe artists should be paid, valued and celebrated for their work.
