FREEZERBYRNE by HeartByrne at Hotel Vegas

HeartByrne are playing Hotel Vegas on Thursday, August 13, as part of the FREEZERBYRNE series. It's an Austin band that pays tribute to Talking Heads and David Byrne, who blended pop, funk, art rock, and African rhythms into some of the most adventurous, danceable, and timeless music to come out of the new wave movement. Their concert film Stop Making Sense became seminal, and that's the spirit HeartByrne brings to the stage.

What started as an informal hoot night has grown into a touring act fronted by vocalist Darin Murphy and lead guitarist Josh Pearson, who pull in some of Austin's most talented musicians to fill out the sound. The show is part of the Hotel Patio series at Hotel Vegas, so it fits right into the venue's outdoor vibe.
