Family-friendly day of live music, a curated vendor market, a KidZone and a silent auction to support Flatwater, the Austin non-profit that provides free mental health therapy for cancer patients.
Flatwater Fest returns to Radio/East on Sunday, November 8, from 12 PM to 5 PM. It's a family-friendly day of live music and local pop-ups, and this year marks the festival's second annual edition. The music comes from The Timothy Howls Band, THEBROSFRESH, and Nate Miller, who'll be playing throughout the afternoon.
Beyond the stage, there's a curated vendor market and a KidZone with face painting and the Austin Bat Cave's Bat Mobile. There's also a silent auction and raffle featuring some of Austin's favorite brands and makers, and the whole day is pet-friendly, so you can bring your dog along. If you're among the first 50 people through the gate, you'll walk away with a Flatwater Silipint, a floatie keychain, and a sticker.
The day supports Flatwater, a 501(c)(3) non-profit that serves Austin and ten surrounding Central Texas counties. They connect anyone touched by cancer with licensed therapists in their Flatwater Provider Network, offering both psychotherapy and Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. They cover the full cost of the therapy—up to 40 sessions—at no cost to the participant, and no clinical referral is needed to get started. All proceeds from the festival go toward funding that care.
