Eve Monsees and Mike Buck perform live honky tonk music at The Continental Club on their Monday night series.
Eve Monsees & Mike Buck play The Continental Club on Monday, October 12, at 6:30 PM. It's part of the club's Monday night residency, which runs through October 26, so if you can't make this one, there are more dates coming up over the next few weeks.
To get a sense of where this fits, it helps to know how the Continental handles its week. The club opened in 1957, and thirty years later Steve Wertheimer took over as its anchor for touring and local Americana, rockabilly and swing. Tuesday happy hours mix sultry jazz, country and blues, while Monday belongs to homegrown honky tonkβa night the club has long shared with regulars like Dale Watson, Earl Poole Ball on Saturdays and Heybale! on Sundays. Monsees and Buck are the Monday feature this month.
