Emo Karaoke hosted by Party by Blake

TX Emo Club brings Emo Karaoke to Hotel Vegas & The Volstead Lounge on Wednesday, August 26, with Party by Blake hosting. It's a karaoke night built around the emo catalog, so if you've spent the last two decades singing along to mid-2000s post-hardcore and pop-punk in your car, this is your turn to do it on a stage.

The venue is Hotel Vegas & The Volstead Lounge, two sister bars on East Sixth Street that draw from old-world New Orleans. The Volstead side handles the drinks—classic and seasonal house cocktails, old-world wines, and a rotating craft draft beer selection served on a large outdoor patio. The whole area runs live music and DJ sets from Wednesday through Saturday, and it's also home to Austin Pride 2026, which runs from August 21 to 22.

If you're planning to sing, get there early. Sign-ups open at 8:30 PM, and the night officially kicks off at 9:00 PM. The whole thing is 21+ and there's no cover, so you can just show up and hang out even if you aren't planning to take the mic. If you do want your name on the list, that 8:30 PM window is when you'll want to be in the room.
