Drag Brunch on SOCO returns to Ovenbird ATX on Saturday, August 15, with the Bobs Burger Edition. It's a high-energy patio party on South Congress that pairs drag performances with brunch bites and drink specials, hosted by Malibu Imported with a live DJ keeping the energy up between sets.
The afternoon is built around the performances, but there's more to it than just the queens on stage. Mid-show, there's a celebration toast and an interactive game for anyone in the crowd celebrating something, and the queens stick around for photo ops afterward. Between the acts, the DJ keeps the music going, so the party doesn't stop when the performers take a break.
If you're coming with a group, there's a VIP upgrade available. It gets you reserved seating, an exclusive souvenir, and a free Mimosa, Martini, or bottle of champagne for the table. Otherwise, the entry is free, and you can work your way through the brunch menu and drink specials as the afternoon rolls on.
