A disco party with DiscoTex, an ABBA tribute band, with all ticket sales supporting the Texas Council on Family Violence.
DiscoTex are playing the Chess Club on Friday, July 24, from 6 PM to 9 PM. They're Austin's #1 ABBA tribute band, so you know exactly what the music is going to be: the ABBA catalog, played live, in the middle of Red River.
The night is part of Let's Fund Good 2026, a summer series put on by KUTX and Interplanetary Help Desk. The whole series pairs six live concerts with six album parties to support about two dozen Austin nonprofits. Interplanetary Help Desk is an Austin-based 501(c)(3) that gives 100% of ticket sales to its co-host organizations and pays the artists in full, without asking for discounts.
For this particular show, the co-host is the Texas Council on Family Violence, a statewide nonprofit coalition dedicated to creating safer communities and freedom from family violence, advancing survivor safety, prevention, policy, and community impact. Every ticket sold goes to them. It's a straightforward setup: you buy a ticket, and that money goes to the Council.
