A night of music featuring David Bowie and ELO tribute bands, followed by a dance party with DJ Trejo.
Hotel Vegas & The Volstead Lounge is hosting a David Bowie and ELO tribute night on Thursday, August 27, with two cover bands taking the stage back-to-back. The night runs from 8 PM to 2 AM at 1502 E 6th St, and the music kicks off an hour after doors open.
At 9 PM, Little Joe & the Dead Boys open with a David Bowie set, and once they wrap, Olé ELO takes over at 10:15 PM with an Electric Light Orchestra set. Between the two, you get the run of two very different catalogs in one night: Bowie's shifting personas and ELO's orchestral pop. The music doesn't stop when the bands finish, either. At midnight, Trejo takes over for a dance party that carries the night through to 2 AM.

It's a long stretch of a night, so you can come for just one of the sets or stay for the whole thing. If you're there from the start, you'll get Bowie first, then ELO, and finally the dance floor. The venue is Hotel Vegas & The Volstead Lounge on East 6th, and the whole thing runs from 8 PM to 2 AM. Tickets are $12, and it's 21+.
