Two-step dance lessons led by Beth Coffey at The White Horse, suitable for beginners and experienced dancers.
Dancin' Austin holds Texas Two-Step lessons at The White Horse, 500 Comal Street, every Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7 PM to 8 PM. It's a regular fixture at the saloon, where you'll see beginners picking up the steps right on the dance floor.
Beth Coffey leads the classes. She's an eighth-generation Texan who's been teaching dance in Austin and Louisiana for more than ten years and has taught hundreds of people. A dancer, performer, and teacher, she's also taught internationally in Sydney, Rotorua, and London. She holds a Master's Degree in Organizational Leadership and Ethics from St. Edward's University, and her motto is "If you can walk, you can dance."

The lessons are donation-based, and you can pay in cash or via Venmo. There are no reservations, so you just show up. Keep in mind that after 7:30 PM, a cover charge applies to get into the venue. If you want to avoid that, arriving before 7:30 is the way to go. The classes run from 7 PM to 8 PM, four nights a week, so there are plenty of chances to drop in.
