Dan Reeder plays Sagebrush on Tuesday, March 16, 2027, starting at 7 PM. He'll be sharing the stage with his daughter, Peggy Reeder, whose voice has become a regular part of his sound in recent years.
Reeder is a folk songwriter with a bit of a cult following. He was signed personally by the late John Prine and remains the longest-running artist on Oh Boy Records, the label Prine founded. In the fall of 2024, he released Smithereens, an album of sharp-witted, deeply human songs. That record has been the center of his recent work, and you'll hear songs from it alongside his older material.
He's been playing a fair amount of live dates lately. He drew sold-out nights at AmericanaFest in Nashville, toured the West Coast, and played the Newport Folk Festival, where he joined Jack Antonoff and shared the stage with guests like Waxahatchee and Weyes Blood. His following reaches across a few different circles, too — Phoebe Bridgers, Maya Hawke, and Paul Mescal are among the artists who've kept an eye on his work.
