A cosmic country music night featuring live performances by Chasen Wayne & the Honky Tonk Machine, with hill country two-step dance classes.
Chasen Wayne & the Honky Tonk Machine are back at Radio/East on Monday, August 3, for another Cosmic Country Night. It's a recurring night at the venue, and this one puts Wayne and his band center stage.
Wayne is a Texas native, originally from Kennedale, and he plays with The Honky Tonk Machine. The night is built around country music and dancing, so the music is only half the draw. They run dance lessons throughout the evening, specifically the Hill Country Two-Step, and they encourage everyone to get out on the floor rather than just watching from the side. If you've never tried it, it's a good place to pick it up.

Radio/East is over on Montopolis Drive, and the whole night is about that country-dance crossover—live music and a dance floor that stays active. The lessons make it easy to jump in even if you don't have a partner or two left feet, and the band keeps the energy going once you're moving. Tickets are $10.
