Texas country and Americana concert by Cory Morrow presenting his album Whiskey & Pride.
Cory Morrow plays The 04 Center on Friday, December 4, with the show presented by 95.9 Texas Country and The 04 Center / In-House Presents. Morrow is a veteran of the Texas Red Dirt scene, and this stop comes after nearly three decades on the road.
He's touring his latest record, The Letting Go, which he describes as his most vulnerable and unflinching work to date. He co-wrote it with Dalton Domino, and the tracklist pulls from different eras of his life. You'll hear early-day compositions like "That Song" and "Cocaine & Jesus" alongside more grown-up musings like "Every Moment" and "The Stuff." The album also includes "Big Hat," a song written by his late collaborator and friend Keith Gattis, who passed away in April 2023; Morrow has spoken of the record as a memorial to their music together.
Across his discography, Morrow has charted a path from frat boy to family man, and from addiction to sobriety. The Letting Go sits at the later end of that arc, and the set should reflect it.
